Stemetil tablet Dosage

• Nausea and vomiting: Take orally every 6 to 8 hours as required, with a dosage range of 5 to 10 milligrams.
• Vertigo and Dizziness: 5 to 10 mg orally every 6-8 hours as needed.
• Schizophrenia and Acute Psychosis: 10 to 25 mg orally every 6-8 hours, with adjustments based on response.
• Migraine-Related Nausea: 5 to 10 mg orally every 6-8 hours as needed.
• Severe Anxiety: 5 to 10 mg orally every 6-8 hours as needed for short-term relief.

Stemetil tablet Side Effects

1. Drowsiness: Feeling sleepy or lethargic.
2. Dry Mouth: Reduced saliva production leading to a dry sensation in the mouth.
3. Blurred Vision: Difficulty in focusing or seeing clearly.
4. Constipation: Difficulty passing stools.
5. Dizziness: Feeling lightheaded or unsteady.
6. Extrapyramidal Symptoms (EPS): Tremors, muscle stiffness, restlessness, or involuntary movements.
7. Weight Gain: Some individuals may experience weight gain while taking Stemetil.
8. Orthostatic hypotension: A sudden decrease in blood pressure upon assuming an upright position.

• Prolactin-Dependent Tumors: Avoid in patients with prolactin-dependent tumors.
• Severe Liver Dysfunction: Not recommended in severe liver dysfunction.
• Recovery Phase Following Myocardial Infarction: Avoid during recovery phase after a heart attack.
• Children Under 2 Years Old: Not recommended for children under 2 years old.
• Breastfeeding: Caution advised in breastfeeding mothers.
