Piriton Tablets are used for the following health conditions:

1. Allergic Rhinitis: These tablets are commonly used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, itching, runny or blocked nose, and watery eyes caused by allergies to pollen, dust mites, or pet dander.
2. Hay Fever: Piriton tablets are effective in alleviating symptoms of hay fever, including sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy or watery eyes, and throat irritation due to seasonal allergies.
3. Urticaria (Hives): This tablet can provide relief from symptoms of urticaria, such as itching, redness, and raised welts on the skin, caused by allergic reactions to food, medications, or insect bites.
4. Pruritus (Itching): It may be used to relieve itching associated with various allergic skin conditions, such as eczema, dermatitis, or insect bites.
5. Motion Sickness: These pills are sometimes used to prevent or relieve symptoms of motion sickness, such as nausea, vomiting, and dizziness, during travel by car, plane, or boat.
6. Sleep Aid: Due to its sedative effect, these tablets may be used as a short-term sleep aid in individuals experiencing difficulty falling asleep due to allergies or other causes.

When use of Piriton tablet the following side effects may occure:

• Drowsiness
• Dry mouth
• Blurred vision
• Constipation
• Urinary retention
• Upset stomach
• Nausea
• Headache.

Contraindication

Piriton tablet is contraindicated for the following conditions:

1. Hypersensitivity: Individuals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to chlorphenamine, the active ingredient in Piriton tablets, or any other ingredients in the formulation should avoid its use.
2. Narrow-Angle Glaucoma: It should not be used in individuals with narrow-angle glaucoma, a condition characterized by increased pressure within the eye.
