Urinary Urgency

Solifen tablet Dosage

The typical dosage of Solifen tablet for adults is 5 mg orally once daily, with potential escalation to 10 mg daily after 4 weeks based on individual response and tolerability. It should be taken at the same time each day, with a full glass of water, and can be taken with or without meals.

Some side effects of Solifen tablet 5mg include dry mouth, constipation, stomach pain, upset stomach, vomiting, heartburn, dry eyes, blurred vision, and dry skin.

Warnings

• Pregnancy and Lactation: Caution is advised during pregnancy, and the use of solifenacin succinate is to be avoided during lactation.
• Driving: It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so driving immediately after taking it should be avoided.
• Liver and Kidney: Patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment should not use tablet Solifen 5mg.
• Alcohol: Drinking alcohol with solifenacin can induce extreme dizziness and should be avoided.

Precautions

Solifenacin succinate should be used with caution in patients with various conditions such as bladder outflow obstruction, gastrointestinal disorders, renal impairment, hepatic impairment, and those taking certain medications.

Contraindications

Tablet solifen is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to it or its constituents, those with severe hepatic impairment, urinary retention, severe gastrointestinal conditions, myasthenia gravis, galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or narrow-angle glaucoma.
