The dosage of ceftriaxone sodium injection depends on several factors, including the type and severity of the infection, the patient’s age and weight, renal function, and other medical conditions. Here are some general guidelines:

• Adults: The typical dose for most infections in adults is 1 to 2 grams (g) given once daily or divided into two doses every 12 hours. The dose may be adjusted based on the severity of the infection.
• Pediatrics: For children, the dosage is based on their weight. It usually ranges from 50 to 100 milligrams (mg) per kilogram (kg) of body weight, given once daily or divided into two doses every 12 hours.

• Gastrointestinal Disturbances: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, or abdominal pain may occur.
